Innovation Credit Union is proud to sponsor a number of organizations throughout the year. Here are a few major projects our staff group assisted with in 2012-2013.

May 24	We are pleased to be a silver sponsor at the 5th Annual Kiwanis Golf Tournament taking place at Chinook Golf Course in Swift Current on May 31st.

May 24	Innovation is pleased to be a single heat sponsor at the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association taking place at the Battlefords Agricultural Society May 31st to June 2nd.

May 24	The Victor Walk was held in communities across Canada to raise awareness about the epidemic of child sexual abuse. We were pleased to sponsor a BBQ fundraiser on May 23rd in Swift Current at Market Square. Funds collected from the BBQ went towards the construction of Canada's FIRST long-term treatment facility for sexual abuse survivors - the Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch, located in the Edmonton area.

May 23	We are pleased to be a platinum sponsor of A Taste of Culture May 30th to June 1st at the Western Development Museum in North Battleford.

May 23	We are pleased to be a sponsor of the Mosquito School Powwow and Treaty Celebrations on May 27th at Mosquito School in Cando, SK.

May 23	Innovation Credit Union was pleased to donate $1,000 to the Hafford Team Youth Force. They are raising funds to renovate a hall to be used for functions and a gathering place for youth.

May 23	Innovation Credit Union was pleased to present the Swift Current Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Mayor’s Luncheon on May 22nd at Living Sky Casino Sky Centre. Speaker Jim Magee with Swift Current Youth Initiative highlighted the importance of youth mental health.

May 22	We are pleased to announce another HeadStart on a Home project in Meadow Lake! The official sod-turning ceremony for Meadow Lake Properties will take place May 27th.

May 22	We are pleased to sponsor the Hidden Meadows Ranch (HMR) Sport Horse Club's upcoming horse shows: May 25th and 26th, June 16th, August 5th, and August 24th and 25th in Battleford.

May 21	The Village of Glaslyn, Glaslyn Recreation Board as well as members of the community, have come together to start a fundraising initiative called Acres for Sport and Recreation – “Growing the Future”. Funds raised through this initiative will be used to upgrade and repair sport and recreation facilities in Glaslyn including the skating rink, ball diamonds, and playgrounds. The initiative involves seeding a crop in the Spring of 2013 with the proceeds of the harvest to go to Acres for Sport and Recreation. We are pleased to be a platinum sponsor.

May 21	We are pleased to be an arena banner sponsor at the Swift Current Cody Snyder PBR Invitational at the Credit Union iPlex on May 25th.

May 13	We were pleased to be a car sponsor in the 22nd Annual Soap Box Derby that took place in North Battleford on May 11th. We also awarded a $300 RESP to the Top Youth Fundraiser after the race.

May 13	Innovation Credit Union was pleased to make a $750 donation to the 4th Annual Champions of Mental Health Awards that took place in North Battleford on May 11th.

May 10	Innovation Credit Union was pleased to be a bronze sponsor of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce Conference on Business that took place in North Battleford on May 8th and 9th.

May 9	Innovation Credit Union is proud to sponsor the Junior Achievement Dollars with Sense program. Our staff have facilitated presentations to grade 7, 8, and 9 students in the Living Sky School Division, Light of Christ School Division and most recently the Chinook School Division.

Innovation was the Calf Roping & Chute Sponsor and Innovative Financial Strategies, our wealth management area of Innovation, was a Chute Sponsor.

Apr 22	Innovation Credit Union was proud to be a major sponsor of the Battlefords and Area Sexual Assault Centre's 12th Annual "Under the Rainbow" Spring Fair held at the Gold Ridge Centre on April 21st. Apr 15	Innovation Credit Union was pleased to be a Patron Sponsor of the Swift Current Oratorio Choir - Messiah that took place April 14th.

Apr 15	Innovation Credit Union, Battlefords & District Co-op, Q98, and CJNB were proud to present the first-ever Spring Baby Crawl that took place April 13th in North Battleford. The fastest four babies won a grand prize gift basket including a Fat Cat plush doll.

Apr 15	Innovation was pleased to make a $300 donation to the Chautauqua Canine Club Dog Show that took place April 12th to April 14th at the Battleford Arena.

Apr 8	We were pleased to make a $250 donation to the Swift Current Wildlife Federation Conservation Dinner & Auction that took place April 6th at the Royal Canadian Legion.

Apr 8	We were pleased to make a $200 donation to the 33rd Annual Battlefords Dance Festival that took place April 1st to April 5th.

Apr 8	We were pleased to once again be the major sponsor of Agrimex Trade, Home and Farm Show in North Battleford that took place April 4th to the 6th. We also had a booth at the show. Thank you to those who stopped by to say hello!

Apr 1	Innovation Credit Union was happy to take part in the Riverview Village Estates and the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Lucky Leprechaun Lookout Contest for the month of March. An ad ran in the Southwest Booster for 3 weeks in March encouraging people to look out for the lucky leprechauns at participating businesses in Swift Current. Participants wrote down the names of each lucky leprechaun and the contestants then took the completed entry form to the Swift Current Mall draw drum. Draw for prizes donated by each participating business were made at the Swift Current Mall Saturday, March 30th. Congratulations to all the winners!

Mar 25	Innovation was happy to sponsor two $100 scholarships at the 81st Annual Battlefords Kiwanis Music Festival that took place March 22nd in North Battleford.

Mar 25	We were pleased to take care of printing costs for Swift Current Little Theatre's production, Old Love, by Norm Foster performed at the Great Plains College on March 14, 15, 16, 22, and 23.

Mar 25	Innovation was pleased to make a $200 donation to the Northwest Regional 4-H Public Speaking Competition that took place in Blaine Lake on March 23rd. We also donated work gloves to all 40 participants. The 4-H Clubs in attendance were from North Battleford, Glaslyn, Kindersley, Kerrobert, Saskatoon, Hafford, Borden, Meadow Lake, Meota, Unity, Wilkie, Turtleford, Cut Knife and Paradise Hill.

Feb 25	Innovation Credit Union, Innovative Financial Strategies, and Dickson Agencies were pleased to be the presenting sponsors of the Field of Dreams Sports Dinner, a fundraising banquet benefiting the Swift Current Indians Baseball Club on February 23rd, featuring keynote speaker Anthony Calvillo.

Feb 25	Innovation was pleased to be the sponsor of the Lyric Theatre's Youth Open Stage on February 22nd in Swift Current.

Feb 21	Innovation Credit Union was happy to donate a team prize to the Cadillac Ladies' Curling Bonspiel that took place February 21st.

Feb 21	The Parent Support Network, a partnership between The Family Resource Centre, Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP), Parent Mentoring Program, Public Health Nursing, The Salvation Army, and the Family Advocacy Program, put on a Winter Carnival event for families with children aged 0-6 on February 20th. From 10am to 5pm, families enjoyed skating with Broncos, sledding, building a friendship wall, watching an ice sculptor at work, drinking hot chocolate at Riverdene Park, indoor carnival games, story reading, a hot dog lunch at the Family Resource Centre (inside the Entrepreneurial Centre), and horse and sleigh rides. Innovation was pleased to donate $200 to help cover the costs of the event as well as 600 cups for attendees.

Feb 15	Innovation was pleased to donate prizes to the Swift Current Housing Authority's Senior Game Day on February 14th.

Feb 15	Innovation Credit Union was happy to donate a team prize to the Cadillac Men's Curling Bonspiel that took place February 13th and 14th.

Jan 14	We were pleased to donate goodie bags to all participants in the Women's Northern Curling Playdowns that took place at the Twin Rivers Curling Club in North Battleford January 10 to 13.

Jan 14	Dickson Agencies, an Innovation partner, was proud to present Pack the 'Plex Night on January 12th when the Swift Current Broncos took on the Calgary Hitmen. Congratulations to Terry Mitchell, Sharon Wiebe, Kelsey Cook, and Dale Lowe who split $2,336! Thank you to all fans in attendance for packing the iPlex and supporting your Swift Current Broncos.

Jan 11	Innovation Credit Union, Innovative Financial Strategies, and Dickson Agencies will be the presenting sponsors of the Field of Dreams Sports Dinner, a fundraising banquet benefiting the Swift Current Indians Baseball Club. The 2013 Dinner will take place February 23 at the Legion Hall in Swift Current, featuring keynote speaker Anthony Calvillo. Tickets are $60 per person or $400 per table of 8. Cocktails are at 6pm, supper is at 7pm, and the speaker is at 8pm. There are also silent and live auctions. Tickets are available by calling Brad Woods at 772.0471.
