The Parent Support Network, a partnership between The Family Resource Centre, Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP), Parent Mentoring Program, Public Health Nursing, The Salvation Army, and the Family Advocacy Program, is putting on a Winter Carnival event for families with children aged 0-6 on February 20th. From 10am to 5pm, families can enjoy skating with Broncos, sledding, building a friendship wall, watching an ice sculptor at work and drinking hot chocolate at Riverdene Park, indoor carnival games, story reading, a hot dog lunch at the Family Resource Centre (inside the Entrepreneurial Centre), and horse and sleigh rides. Innovation was pleased to donate $200 to help cover the costs of the event as well as 600 cups for attendees.
