Innovation was a major sponsor for the 6th Annual Attons Lake Breast Cancer Golf Tournament. There were 118 golfers and approximately 140 people for the supper. Over $17,900 was raised for breast cancer. |

Innovation Credit Union co-sponsored the iGiddy Up Pancake Breakfast with Magic 97.1 and the Swift Current Ag & Ex Association on June 30th at Innovation Credit Union's Swift Current Branch courtyard. We raised $725.20 at the breakfast for the Canadian Mental Health Association and Innovation Credit Union is donating $274.80 to make it an even $1,000.00. Thank you to all those who attended! |

Innovation Credit Union was proud to be a hole sponsor as well as enter a team in the McCleary, Marleau and Moen Charity Golf Classic. The mission of the Trent McCleary - Patrick Marleau - Travis Moen Sports and Recreation Foundation is to ensure that young people between the ages 6 and 18, regardless of financial restraints, will be given the opportunity to develop their athletics skills to an elite level. The 11th Annual McCleary, Marleau, Moen Charity Golf Classic took place June 14th at Elmwood Golf Course in Swift Current. |

In 2009, some courageous North Battleford Branch staff members shaved their heads as a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life. This year, the iShave fundraiser continued! Barry Verhoeven, Jay Crockett, Adrian Delainey, Tyler McKay, and Lee Ulmer of our North Battleford Branch shaved their heads and raised over $5,000 for the Relay for Life that took place in North Battleford on Friday, June 11th. We would like to congratulate all the volunteers on their dedication to raising money for a cure.

The Wayne Pruden Memorial Golf Tournament is one of the major fundraising
activities the Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation conducts on
an annual basis. Community and volunteer support are vital to the success
of this fundraising event. Innovation Credit Union has been the Master
Sponsor of this event for a number of years and we were proud to once again commit to this wonderful cause. This year's tournament took place Monday, June 7th in North Battleford.

We once again sold Duck Derby tickets at our District 2 (South Region) branches this year. The Duck Derby race was held on Sunday, June 6th at 4:00 pm at the Riverside Park in conjunction with the Innovation Credit Union Picnic Inn the Park. Tickets were $2 each or three for $5 with four different prizes:
- $1000 Shopping Spree Donated by Fine Furniture Oasis
- Laptop – Donated by Office Outfitters
- Frontier Day’s Family Pass for 4
- Golf Bag – Donated by Stark & Marsh

Innovation Credit Union was proud to assist the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan with its ever-popular “Miracle Balloon Campaign” to help bring a children’s hospital to Saskatchewan kids. Members were able to purchase a $1.00 paper miracle balloon for the Saskatchewan children’s hospital from any Innovation branch location during the month of May. All funds raised in Saskatchewan will stay in Saskatchewan to help our sick and injured children. |

Innovation Credit Union was a Silver Sponsor of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation/Telus Walk to cure Diabetes. The walk took place in Swift Current on May 22nd. |

Team Innspiration, one of Innovation Credit Union's Relay for Life teams, hosted their annual Relay for Life BBQ on Thursday, May 20th at the North Battleford Branch. Attendees could purchase a hamburger or cheeseburger and drink for $5 or two hotdogs and a drink for $5 with all proceeds going towards the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life. We are proud to announce that over $2,400 was raised for North Battleford's Relay for Life! Thank you to everyone who attended. |

Innovation Credit Union staff members participated in two Dress Down Days for the Relay for Life on May 5th and May 19th. $1,725 was raised over the two days for the North Battleford and Swift Current Relays for Life being held in June. |

Innovation Credit Union participated in a Dress Down Day on May 12th for the Heart & Stroke Big Bike Fundraiser which took place in Meadow Lake on May 13th. Some of our staff members also participated in the event. We are proud to announce that the Innovation Team raised a total of $3,519 for the ride. The total raised in Meadow Lake was just over $4,600. The Big Bike staff stated Meadow Lake was the first community they have been to that has raised this amount of funds. Congratulations! |

Some of our North Battleford staff members picked garbage last weekend for the North Battleford Clean Up The City and show your Community Pride initiative. This initiative was started through the United Way and the City has now partnered with United Way to hold this annual event.

Innovation Credit Union staff participated in a Dress Down Day on Friday, March 26th to support the Battlefords Big Brothers/Big Sisters. We also entered a team in their annual Bowl for Kids Sake which took place Saturday, March 27th. Our dress down day raised a total of $855.00. |

Fundraising for our Relay for Life teams has already begun! The Innovation Butterflies hosted a staff luncheon fundraiser on March 17th and raised $475.50 for the Canadian Cancer Society! Thank you to all staff who were able to attend.

Innovation Credit Union branches sold Telemiracle Helping Hands during the month of February. This past weekend in Regina, the Kinsmen Foundation celebrated another successful fundraising campaign when Telemiracle 34 raised a grand total of $4,010,314. Saskatchewan credit unions attended the event and presented Telemiracle 34 with a cheque for $15,097 on behalf of the system. Thank you for supporting Telemiracle 34!

Saskatchewan credit unions were pleased to announce their acceptance of cash donations in support of relief efforts in Haiti on January 18th. On January 21st, Innovation Credit Union responded with a $5,000 donation to assist with Haiti disaster relief. We collected donations at all branch locations until February 12th and are proud to announce the remarkable total collected is $60,444.86! Because the federal government will match anything given dollar-for-dollar before February 12th, this total will ultimately become $120,889.72! |

During February we celebrated Heart and Stroke month by helping the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan collect funds for their annual person-to-person campaign. We sold paper hearts to individuals as well as accepted donations from our members throughout the month. We also acted as a return point for volunteer canvassers to return their money and assisted with the processing of incoming donations. Thanks to all those who made a contribution. |

Innovation Credit Union has made a $5,000 donation to Haiti Relief. Just a reminder that the federal government will match dollar-for-dollar any donations made. We will be collecting funds until February 12th. Click here to view our news release.

If you would care to make a donation to a disaster relief fund, please feel free to do so at any one of our branch locations. We will be collecting donations until February 12th. The federal government will match, dollar-for-dollar, any donations made to the Red Cross (and other registrered charities) for this appeal until February 12th. |
