Be a Pal – Give $300 and Get $100

1. Register yourself to the Innovation Federal Credit Union referral program
2. Start sharing your unique referral link with your friends and family
3. You earn $100 for each new member who signs up using your referral link, and completes the offer requirements

The offer is valid until June 30, 2022. So, your friends or family should sign up using your referral link on or before that day.

Well, almost anyone. There are a few criteria that your referred friend or family member must meet to be eligible.

• They must be a new Innovation member. That is, they cannot be someone who is already an Innovation member in 2022. However, if they used to be an Innovation member, but have not been one since January 1, 2016, then you can refer them to join Innovation again.
• They must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• They must be a Canadian resident.
• They must meet our membership and account opening criteria (such as providing proof of age, proof of residence, proof of a valid Social Insurance Number) 

Once you refer someone, here is what they need to do to earn their $300 new member bonus:

1.  Open a No-Fee Bank Account
   They need to open a No-Fee Bank Account digitally by June 30, 2022, using the promo code REFER300.
   
   
2. Become an Innovation Credit Union member
   They must fund their account with a minimum of $5. This is to cover the cost of their Innovation member share.
   
   
3. Start using their account
   Set up a recurring direct deposit of at least $100 and have it deposited twice into their No-Fee Bank Account, within 90 days of opening their account. We’ve covered exactly what these are, and all the eligibility criteria on our special offer page.
   
   
4. Prove they’re a model Innovation member
   Apart from making sure they keep their account active; they should also keep their account in good standing. This means that they don’t make unauthorized overdrafts or conduct any delinquent activity through their account. Sure, this seems like common sense, but it never hurts to know all the facts when there’s a bonus on the line. 

Your $100 member referral bonus will be deposited directly into your Innovation No-Fee Bank Account or other operating account 120 days, or 4 months, after your referred friend or family member opens their own No-Fee Bank Account. For example, if you send the referral email to a friend on April 25, 2022, and they open their account on May 5, 2022 — and meet all the eligibility criteria — then you can expect your referral bonus approximately four months later, that is, on or before September 30, 2022.

Just like your member referral bonus, your referred friend or family member will also receive their new member bonus 4 months or 120 days from the date they open their account. Keep in mind, simply opening an account is not enough. They should also have funded their account to cover the cost of their Innovation membership, have at least 2 recurring deposits of $100 or more within 90 days of opening their account and have an active account in good standing.
