Sponsorship Details

To be eligible for funding, your organization’s program or community initiative must be a Canadian registered charity or non-profit; however, eligibility does not guarantee funding.

  • For-profit organizations
  • Pursuits benefiting one or few people (i.e., crowdfunding)
  • Religious organizations
  • Political organizations
  • Professional development
  • Travel
  • Operating costs or salaries
  • Research
  • Publication or production costs
  • Membership or registration fees
  • Annual general meetings, conferences, conventions, seminars, or tradeshows
  • Gambling (i.e. 50/50 draws, raffles, sweepstakes, lotteries, etc.)

Application period: January 1st to December 31st of each year.

Applications should be submitted at least 30 days before funding is needed.

Requests are reviewed regularly during the application period; however, it may take up to 30 days to review and process your application.

  1. Complete our application form. It's easy to follow and doesn't take much time to complete.  
  2. Visit your local branch/advice centre.

If you are looking for in-kind promotional items for a raffle or silent auction, simply visit your local branch/advice centre.

Local employee-lead committees evaluate applications using the following criteria:

  • Focus Area Alignment: does the sponsorship align with our focus areas  (poverty, education, and health)?
  • Brand: does the sponsorship enhance Innovation’s brand image and reputation? Does the sponsorship generate brand awareness?
  • Cost: what is the total cost involved in the sponsorship?
  • Engagement: is there an opportunity for Innovation employees to participate? Is there an opportunity for our brand to engage with our target audience?
  • Business Value: is there value for both the organization and Innovation?
