No-Fee Chequing Account $500 Giveaway Draw 

1. Contest Overview

The No-Fee Chequing Account $500 Cash Giveaway (the "Contest") is sponsored and administered by Innovation Federal Credit Union ("Innovation"), PO Box 1090, Station Main, Swift Current, SK S9H 3X3.

The Contest offers nine (9) monthly cash prizes of $500.00 CAD each. Nine (9) winners will be selected each month. There is a limit of one (1) prize per participant, regardless of the number of Contest entries earned.

Contest Dates and Times: The Contest begins on October 16, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) and ends on December 31, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. CST (the “Entry Period”)

Agreement to be legally bound by Terms and Conditions. By participating in this Contest, you acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Terms and Conditions. If you do not comply with these Terms and Conditions, you are subject to disqualification by Innovation, in Innovation’s sole discretion.

3. Eligibility

To be eligible for the Contest, participants must:

• Be a current resident of Alberta, Ontario, or Saskatchewan and, upon request by Innovation, provide satisfactory proof of residency in the applicable province and/or proof that the entrant is legally residing in Canada;
• Be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; and
• Satisfy the requirements of either the No-Fee Chequing Account Opening Entry Path or the No Purchase Necessary Entry Path set out in these Terms and Conditions.

The following persons are not eligible to participate:

• Employees of Innovation Federal Credit Union and Innovation Wealth;
• Immediate family members* of such employees.

*Immediate family members include a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, grandchildren, parents, stepparents, parents or stepparents of a spouse or common-law partner, and legal guardians of the employee.

4. No-Fee Chequing Account Opening Entry Path

Participants may receive one (1) Contest entry by completing all of the following requirements during the Entry Period:

Where participants enter the Contest via the No-Fee Chequing Account Opening Entry Path, the participant must:

• Not have been an Innovation account holder (of any account) or Innovation member at any time since January 1, 2016;
• Successful open an Innovation No-Fee Chequing Account through Innovation’s online account opening platform and complete all requirements of Innovation’s account opening process, including any identification, verification, membership, regulatory or other requirements that Innovation may require from time to time in its sole discretion;
• Be approved by Innovation for the requested account and any associated membership, where applicable;
• Enroll in Innovation’s online Digital Banking after the account has been successfully opened following the instructions provided by Innovation; and
• Enter any promotional code or satisfy any other promotional requirements specified by Innovation at the time of application for the No-Fee Chequing Account Opening, for the applicable Contest Period.

4.1 Limited Entries

Limit one (1) Contest entry per Eligible Participant upon successfully opening an eligible account. Individuals whose No-Fee Chequing Account opening application is unsuccessful may submit additional No-Fee Chequing Account opening applications; however, only the first successful No-Fee Chequing Account opening will qualify for a Contest entry.

Once an Eligible Participant has received a Contest entry through the No-Fee Chequing Account Opening Entry Path, they are not eligible to receive any further Contest entries through any entry method, including the No Purchase Necessary Entry Path.

4.2 Joint Accounts

If a No-Fee Chequing Account is opened jointly, only the Primary Account Holder will receive the Contest entry.  The Primary Account Holder is the person who initiates the No-Fee Chequing Account application process.

4.3 No-Fee Chequing Account Operation

The No-Fee Chequing Account must remain open, active, and in good standing as determined by Innovation in its sole discretion, at the time of the prize draw and prize administration.  Innovation reserves the right to disqualify any account that it determines is not in good standing.

5. No Purchase Necessary Entry Path

No purchase, account opening, funding activity, or financial transaction is required to enter through this entry method.

5.1 Essay & Submission Requirements

For participants that enter the Contest via the No Purchase Necessary Entry Path participants must:

• Submit one (1) original handwritten essay of at least 100 words on the following topic:
  • What does financial wellness mean to you, and how would improving your financial wellness impact your future?

• Each essay must:
  • Be handwritten;
  • Be the original work of the entrant;
  • Include the entrant's full name, mailing address, email address, and daytime telephone number.
    
• Essays must be mailed or sent electronically

o   Mailed essays must be mailed in a sealed envelope to:

o   To be eligible, mailed essays must be received and postmarked no later than the entry deadline(s) for the applicable Contest Period, as outlined above under Key Dates.

o   Essays submitted electronically, must be emailed to marketing@innovationcu.ca before Entry deadline.  Innovation is not responsible for any electronic transmission issues or delivery failures. An Essay is deemed received only when it is received in Innovation's marketing inbox. Essays not received in the marketing inbox by the Entry Deadline will not be eligible, regardless of whether they were sent by the entrant

5.2 Limited Entries

An Eligible Participant who enters through the No Purchase Necessary Entry Path may later receive one (1) additional Contest Entry through the No-Fee Chequing Account Opening Entry Path. Once an Eligible Participant has received a Contest entry through the No-Fee Chequing Account Opening Entry Path, they are not eligible to receive any further Contest entries through any entry method, including the No Purchase Necessary Entry Path.

5.3.  Eligibility & Account Requirement

Selected entrants will be required to open a No-Fee Chequing Account solely for identity verification and prize administration purposes.

Opening a No-Fee Chequing Account for identification purposes alone:

• Does not require funding;
• Does not increase the entrant's chances of winning; and
• Is only required if the entrant is selected as a potential winner.

6.  Draw, Winner Confirmation & Prize Delivery

6.1 Prize Draw

At the conclusion of each Contest Period, nine (9) eligible entries will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during that Contest Period. The prizes are regionally allocated as follows:

·       Three (3) winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received from residents of Saskatchewan;

·       Three (3) winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received from residents of Alberta; and

·       Three (3) winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received from residents of Ontario.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received in the entrant's province of residence during the applicable Contest Period.

If an insufficient number of eligible entries are received from a particular province, Innovation reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to applicable law, to award fewer prizes for that province or to reallocate unawarded prizes among the remaining provinces.

The draws will be conducted in Canada during the applicable Prize Draw Periods identified in these Terms and Conditions.

6.2 Winner Notification

The selected entrant(s) will be contacted within three business days of the last day of the Prize Draw Period using the information provided on their No-Fee Chequing Account Opening application or No Purchase Necessary Entry form.

If the selected entrant:

• Cannot be contacted after up to three attempts;
• Fails to respond within fourteen (14) calendar days of Innovation’s attempted contact;
• Fails to satisfy these Terms and Conditions; or
• Is otherwise determined to be ineligible by Innovation,

Innovation reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify that entrant and select an alternate winner.

6.3 Winner Requirements

Before being declared the winner and receiving the Prize, the selected entrant must:

• Correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, provided by Innovation;
• Complete and sign a Declaration and Publicity Release Form, confirming eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Innovation may request the winner's consent to use their first name and last initial, city of residence, photograph, likeness, and statements relating to the Contest for promotional purposes. Refusal to provide such consent will not affect the winner's eligibility to receive the Prize, and
• Return required documentation with the period specified by Innovation. 

If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, fails to respond within fourteen (14) calendar days, does not correctly answer the skill-testing question, or is otherwise ineligible, Innovation may disqualify the entrant and select an alternate winner.

6.4 Prize Delivery

The Prize will be awarded as a $500.00 CAD cash deposit into the winner's No-Fee Chequing Account. Where the winning entry is associated with a joint account, the Prize will be deposited into that joint account, and all account holders will have access to the Prize funds in accordance with the applicable account terms and conditions and signing authorities.

Winners are solely responsible for any tax consequences arising from receipt of the Prize.

Where the selected winner entered the Contest through the No Purchase Necessary Entry Path, Innovation may, in its sole discretion, deposit the Prize into a No-Fee Chequing Account opened by the winner. If the winner does not successfully open a No-Fee Chequing Account, or if the winner does not wish to open or receive the Prize through a No-Fee Chequing Account, Innovation may instead deliver the Prize by electronic funds transfer (e-transfer) using the contact information provided by the winner in connection with their contest entry.

7. Privacy

By participating in this Contest, entrants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by Innovation for the purposes of administering the Contest.  

The winner may grant Innovation permission to use their personal information provided in any Contest declarations or publicity releases, for promotional purposes related to the Contest without additional compensation. This includes but is not limited to Innovation's website, social media channels, digital displays, and other promotional materials.

Personal information will be collected and managed in accordance with the "Collection and Use of Information" section of the Account Opening Application and Innovation's Protecting Your Privacy policy.

By accepting the Prize, the winner confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

8. Contest Administration & Legal

Innovation reserves the right to:

• Verify eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions;
• Disqualify any participant who provides false information or engages in fraudulent, suspicious, or abusive conduct; and/or
• Modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice, subject to applicable law.
• Innovation reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason.

The decisions of Innovation regarding all aspects of the Contest are final and binding with no right of appeal.

By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Innovation Federal Credit Union, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from or relating to participation in the Contest, acceptance or use of any Prize, or any Prize-related activity.

Innovation is not responsible for:

• Incorrect or inaccurate entry information that may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Contest or be awarded a prize, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, mail failures, omission, or any combination thereof, and entries that fail to fully comply with these Terms and Conditions;
• Technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software;
• Injury or damage to entrants’ electronics or to any other individual’s electronics related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material regarding the Contest or accepting a prize;
• The security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third-party computer hackers or otherwise; or
• Late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential winner.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Innovation’s total liability in connection with this Contest, including liability arising from the award or use of any Prize, will not exceed the value of the applicable Prize.

This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform used to promote the Contest.

This Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the applicable laws of Canada.

Any disputes arising from or relating to this Contest shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Saskatchewan.
