Every community has places that bring people together—schools, rinks, ball diamonds, museums, and spaces where neighbours connect. Through Innovation Federal Credit Union’s Goodsoil Grant Program, local organizations are receiving support to strengthen those gathering places and create benefits that can be felt across the community.
The 2026 Goodsoil Grant Program recipients include four local projects focused on recreation, education, and heritage. Goodsoil and District Parks and Recreation received $10,000 for a playground at the ball diamonds; Goodsoil and District Recreation Inc. received $21,285.33 for a new ice plant; Goodsoil Central School received $5,000 for student technology; and the Goodsoil Historical Museum received $10,000 for building repairs and updates.
Honouring Goodsoil’s Credit Union Legacy
The Goodsoil Grant Program grew out of Innovation’s amalgamation with Goodsoil Credit Union. When the organizations came together, Innovation also carried forward a responsibility to recognize Goodsoil’s credit union history and continue supporting the people and community organizations that have long made the area strong.
Legacy grant funding was established as one way to keep that commitment visible and practical. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, the program helps local member organizations move forward with specific, one-time projects that respond to real community needs.
Four Projects, One Stronger Community
Each 2026 recipient supports a different part of community life. The playground will make the ball diamonds more welcoming for children and families. The new ice plant will help maintain an important recreation hub. Student technology will give youth more tools to explore, create, and participate. Repairs and updates at the museum will help protect Goodsoil’s local stories and artifacts for future visitors.
While the projects are different, they share a common purpose: making everyday community spaces safer, stronger, and more useful for the people who rely on them. That practical, local impact is exactly what the Goodsoil Grant Program was designed to support.
